Jardin des Papillons Day Camp

The Jardin des Papillons Day Camp is a recreation service offered to children of 3 to 8 years of age with special needs. A team of dynamic animators organize a multitude of fun and stimulating activities that meet the special needs of every child. An animator is responsible for a maximum of one or two children.

Jardin des Papillons Day Camp is :

A team of animators attentive to the children’s needs
Individual and safe accompaniment
A variety of activities in relation with the needs and interests of the child
Access to a variety of rooms: Activity room, Snoezelen sensori-stimulation room, kitchen, Papillon daycare classrooms, exterior playground
Many outings during the summer: swimming pool, neighbourhood parks, Biodome, Old-Port…
Most of all, fun is guaranteed!

When ?

From June 27^th, to August 19^th, 2011

9:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.

Daycare service: from 7:30 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. and from 3:30 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Papillon de Jour

Papillon de Jour Day Camp is the only day camp in Montreal that welcomes a multi-disabled clientele (physical and intellectual disabilities) from 5 to 25 years of age. The day camp will take place in the facilities of Auberge Papillon in Verdun. The team is comprised of a team coordinator, and four counsellors. They have two mandates, personal care (hygiene and nutrition) and animation. From 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., the team offers to its 10 children of the day the possibility to be fascinated in a warm and quiet environment where everything is possible.

Our Services :

Various activities are offered, outdoors as well as indoors (in case of rain).
Each child must bring his own lunch. However, the day camp offers a variety of snacks during the day (granola bars, fruit, vegetables, etc.).
Each child is changed at least 2 or 3 times during the day (parents must provide the necessary quantity of diapers).
The person in charge is trained to administer medication and tube feedings during the day.

Everything you need to have fun...

The day camp clientele being essentially multi-disabled, sensorial stimulation activities are favoured. There is no lack of imagination to make these youngsters experience magical days. They are offered a variety of activities :

Arts & crafts;
Painting (tactile);
Swimming;
Strols around the neighbourhood;
Floor massage therapy;
Relaxation to the sound of music;
Sports (balls, scarves, etc.);
Many others;
